Abstract: The upsurge of rural revitalization has promoted the protection planning of traditional villages, and then the concept of village zoning protection has emerged, which is to implement different protection planning implementation methods for different regions. However, due to the lack of consideration of the boundary space of the core protection area, there are chaotic architectural forms, poor coordination, spatial faults, inconsistency between the nature and needs of the space, and insufficient accessibility of the street and road network. This paper selects Wulin Village, a traditional Chinese village in Jinjiang City, Fujian Province as the research object, and uses fractal theory and space syntax to quantitatively analyze the boundary space of the core protected area before and after the implementation of the protection planning for Wulin Village, in order to provide ideas and reference for the preparation and implementation of the traditional village protection planning.
