Abstract:
With the continuous expansion of urban construction space and the intensification of urban-rural land use conflicts, the urban-rural development patterns of megacities have diverged, evolving into subordinate, connected and integrated development patterns. Unlike megacities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou, Xiamen has a small urban scale, densely distributed villages, tight spatial resources, fragile ecosystems, and more prominent urban-rural conflicts. Based on Xiamen's development characteristics and planning practices, this paper summarizes the evolution of rural planning in Xiamen of Fujian since 2006, analyzes the changes in urban-rural relations and planning responses in the new era, and finally sums up Xiamen's experience of rural planning under the orientation of service development in terms of conduction, guidance, diversion, and counselling, hoping to provide ideas and references for rural planning in rapidly urbanization areas.
