Abstract: Village planning is a detailed planning of rural areas beyond the urban development boundary in the territorial space planning system, which undertakes multiple missions including resource element management and engineering construction guidance in rural areas. This study systematically sorts out the main problems existing in the planning compilation and management of the current rural areas in Guangzhou, Guangdong. Consistent with the reform of the territorial space planning system, suggestions are put forward from the above to undertake the territorial spatial planning, to guid the implementation of rural construction projects, and to prepare the practical village planning of 'multi-plan integration' and implement the planning permission management of rural construction projects. Furthermore, the village planning compilation and the whole process management path in the territorial space planning system that conforms to the reality and strong operability of Guangzhou are deeply explored for the scientific formulation, accurate transmission and effective implementation of rural plans, so as to improve the modernization of rural governance.
