Abstract: Under the background of the continuous promotion and deepening of the rural revitalization strategy, the level of development and construction of rural human settlement environment has been continuously improved, and the adaptive reuse mode of rural industrial heritage, as an important witness of rural development and an important component of human settlement space, is of great significance to sustainable rural development. On the basis of explaining the conceptual connotation and type characteristics of rural industrial remains, based on the in-depth investigation of the typical rural industrial relics space in Shandong, the characteristics of the functional types, layout, and spatial form are summarized, and the practical cases of rural industrial heritage renewal design at home and abroad are sorted out and analyzed, and the transformation and reuse strategies applicable to rural industrial relics in Shandong are summarized from four aspects: functional adaptation, spatial integration, technical optimization, and management and operation. It is hoped to provide useful reference and enlightenment for the sustainable construction of rural space in the context of urban-rural integration in the new era.
