Abstract:
The intangible cultural heritage in traditional villages needs to be protected and inherited in a dynamic way, of which the residents are required to participate in consciously. Based on the analysis of the present situation of the protection of the intangible cultural heritage in traditional villages in China, as well as the exploration and practice of the protection of intangible cultural heritage in Panyu District of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, this paper makes a systematic summary of the measures to raise Shawan residents' cultural consciousness by means of literature analysis, theoretical research, field investigation and case analysis. It points out that establishing a top-down protection mechanism, supporting the inheritors and inheriting groups, strengthening the contact between residents and intangible cultural heritage through the social communication system, enhancing the impetus of social organizations and developing cultural industry are effective strategies to raise the consciousness of the residents in traditional villages on the protection of intangible cultural heritage. Thus this paper aims to provide references for promoting the protection of intangible cultural heritage in traditional villages under the background of strengthening national cultural "soft power".
