Abstract: The problem of unbalanced development of rural space has become increasingly prominent. As an important means to solve the problem of unbalanced development of rural space, the governance of rural space has attracted the attention in academic circles. Taking China Knowledge Network (CNKI) as the database, using CiteSpace visualization software to draw a knowledge map of rural space governance research, and get the development stage, research hotspots and research team of domestic rural space governance. The results show that: (1) Domestic research on rural space governance has gone through three stages: initiation stage, development stage and deepening stage, but the total amount of literature is relatively small, compared with our country's longterm efforts since the issue of agriculture and rural farmers has been attached great importance to, in terms of the overall planning and promotion of urban and rural development, the research on rural space governance has shown deficiencies in ‘quantity’ and ‘quality’. (2) The main body of rural space governance has changed from a single government governance to a multi-subject governance, and the governance object has changed from a single rural settlement space to a three-generation space combining production and life ecology, and the governance methods are also developing toward the trend of digitizing. Through the method of combining bibliometrics and qualitative research, it summarizes the status of domestic rural space governance research, and provides a basic theoretical analysis for the improvement of rural space governance under the background of rural revitalization.
