Abstract: The transect planning is a sustainable and coherent urban-rural development model based on ecological theory. Taking Yousuo Town, Eryuan County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province as an example, this paper applies transect planning on township style and feature planning. The villages and towns are regarded as a continuous and unified entirety. Different transection characteristics are determined according to different feature characteristics. The corresponding control requirements are put forward according to the characteristics of different transections. Small towns integrate the elements of nature, farmland, villages and towns, which is closer to the ecological settlement in ecology. The introduction of transect planning provides a new perspective for township style and feature plan and provides reference for the practice of township style and feature plan.
