Abstract:
Rural settlement is not only the birthplace of local society but also the core of rural revitalization. The evolution of settlement space is the characterization of the change of rural population, industry and social structure. This paper takes Lianhuachi Village in Beijing as an example, analyzes the process and driving factors of the settlement space. Conclusions can be drawn as follows:the expansion of settlement scale shows spatial and temporal differentiation; the diversities of architectural landscape are influenced by who use and for what; functional zoning is the result of self-regulation between outsiders and local, as well as production and living; the evolution process is related to capital, market and policy.
