Abstract: Humanistic landscape is the unique symbolic feature of regional culture, and landscape gene is the most basic genetic unit and decisive factor of regional culture. From the perspective of regional culture, exploring the progress of landscape gene research based on visual analysis of CiteSpace is of great significance for the sustainable development of cultural landscape, and can provide new ideas and scientific basis for the development and protection of cultural landscape. This paper systematically combs the time progress, research hotspots and research trends of landscape gene research, and summarizes the landscape gene identification and classification, landscape gene map construction and expression, and the practical application of landscape genes. Based on this, it is suggested that future research should pay attention to landscape gene evolution mechanism, quantitative identification of intangible landscape genes, study on the construction of landscape gene information database.
