Abstract:
Exploring the linkage development path of 'rural agglomeration' in the peripheral areas of big cities has become an important breakthrough in realizing rural revitalization and promoting urban-rural integration. In traditional rural development and governance, there are many difficulties, such as the independent development of each village, the low-end homogeneity of industry, the low efficiency and fragmentation of land, and the imbalance of interest distribution, resulting in the lack of endogenous power for rural development. Based on this, this paper puts forward the planning strategy of 'rural agglomeration' in the peripheral areas of big cities from the four aspects of collective action, resource revitalization, land preparation and villagers' participation, and takes the rural agglomeration in Shitan, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province as a practical case to summarize and refine its advanced practices and main experience in the process of comprehensive management. It provides a reference for the long-term sustainable development of 'rural agglomeration' in the peripheral areas of big cities in China in the new era.
