Abstract: The comilation of village-town planning requires clarifying the development needs and ideas, and formulating instructive and practical plans, which is a complex work involving natural environment, social economy, history and culture, and so on. The rapid development of digital technology has provided more multiplesource of data acquisition methods, more convenient forms of public participation, more scientific and efficient plan display technology, and more intuitive plan comparison methods for the planning of villages and towns with distinctive features. In this paper, oblique aerial photography, mobile Internet, virtual reality and other technologies are integrated to build an auxiliary analysis system for the planning of distinctive villages and towns. Combined with the practice of protective planning program in Qingfeng Village of Pingtan County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, it explores the application of a new-generation of digital technology in the planning of disitinctive villages and towns.
