Abstract:
Based on the climatic adaptability of subtropical architecture, this study explores the practice methods of contemporary Lingnan rural architecture from three aspects of 'layout', 'interface' and 'material'. This article takes the transformation practice of Longgui granary in Longgui Town, Wujiang District, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province as an example to review and re-analyze the creative process of its 'responsive construction'. By exploring a contemporary architectural strategy in Lingnan that adapts to subtropical climate conditions, it is expected to promote the development of green architecture in rural areas and provide useful reference and inspiration for the rural revitalization construction in Lingnan.
