Abstract:
With the rapid development of economy, traditional rammed earth dwellings in Hongling Village of Bashu region have been demolished one after another. Especially since the new rural construction proposed in 2005, villages have been building new rural settlements. With the villagers moving into the settlements, the original rammed earth buildings are abandoned or demolished. However, some rammed earth buildings with a long history are also retained, which is of great significance to the study of the traditional rammed earth dwelling forms and construction techniques in Bashu region of northeast Sichuan against the background of sustainable development and recycling, and the vigorous development of green building materials. This paper adopts the research methods of interviews with local craftsmen, literature reading and field research to sort out the construction technologies and residential forms of rammed earth buildings in Hongling Village, so as to provide basic information for the renewal and innovation of local rammed earth buildings and the sustainable reuse.
