Abstract:
The functional positioning and development path of small town high-speed rail areas are quite different from those of large cities, and small town high-speed rail areas under different resource endowments need to adopt different planning and construction modes. This paper takes 13 high-speed railway areas in small towns around Beijing as the research objects. Through the comparative analysis of station-city relationship, upper programming, space-time distance, land composition, thermal map, and other aspects, it divides the areas into two categories and five small ones as a whole, namely, business communication type, tourism and leisure type, commuting service type in the suburban radiation category, and town center type and rural town type in the remote growth category. It also puts forward the planning and design modes of functional layout and spatial form of high-speed railway areas in various small towns, in order to provide some support and reference for the planning and construction of high-speed railway areas in small towns around Beijing and other small towns in China.
