Abstract:
Influenced by government decision-making, capital invasion and other factors, the contradictions in the transformation and development of rural space in China are becoming increasingly prominent. Against the backdrop of multiple actors promoting spatial production, such as government, market, and residents, this paper constructs a research framework of ‘spatial production mechanism-actor translation process’ based on the perspective of spatial production and the introduction of actor-network theory. By collecting first-hand data through in-depth interviews and field research, this paper conducts an in-depth study on the rural transformation process of Yong'an Village in Zhejiang Province, expounding the process and logical factors of the spatial production actor network translation and exploring its transformation and development mechanism. The research indicates that during the process of transformation and development, Yong'an Village has formed a heterogeneous actor network with the People's Government of Yuhang District as the key actor, and the People's Government of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Urban Construction Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Daoxiang Village Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., Yong'an Village Committee, villagers, tourists, land, houses, natural environment, and transportation conditions as the main participants. Different interest actors reconstructed the spatial form of the village according to their own needs, and the new spatial form further formed a new social relationship network, and the action paths of new spatial production actors emerged accordingly. In the future, multi-actor participation in promoting rural revitalization strategies should focus on shaping the representation of space and optimizing the compound functions of rural practice, establishing a network of benign interaction, clarifying the functions of multiple spatial actors, and coordinating action platforms for multiple cooperation to guide the practice paths of different actors.
