Abstract:
In the context of the rural revitalization strategy, the rural landscape is going through great changes. Starting from the phenomenon of ‘cross-boundary’ in newly-built houses in industrialized villages, the forms of newly-built residential buildings in rural areas were studied against the background of reconstruction of urban-rural relations and rural industrialization. Furthermore, taking typical villages in Shangyu, Shaoxing in Zhejiang for example, a participant observation was given to the community lifestyle there, then the behavioral characteristics and the spatial expression of the same were also summarized. In the end, the phenomenon of ‘cross-boundary’ was interpreted from the perspective of social event. It was proposed that we should explore the inner vitality of the newly built houses and provide guidance for the rural landscape improvement by taking ‘event’ as the observing and reading angle.
