Abstract:
This paper mainly analyzes the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of the construction land form in Taoxi Village. Taking typical traditional village of Taoxi Village, in Gutian County of northeastern Fujian mountain area as an example, based on remote sensing image maps, land use status maps, and field research data in different periods, combined with ArcGIS platform, using the methods of construction land expansion analysis, spatial graphical analysis, etc, it discusses the land expansion mechanism from the aspects of physical geography environment, social economy, human history, etc, and puts forward suggestions on village planning and traditional village protection and development planning. The analytical results have indicated the following findings: 1) The expansion of construction land in Taoxi Village has stage characteristics, going through five historical stages, with significant differences in expansion intensity, speed, direction, mode, and spatial form in each stage. 2) The village form of Taoxi Village is the superposition structure of various land use forms in different periods, which is comprehensively affected by various factors such as physical geography environment, economic development, traffic conditions, geomancy concept, patriarchal clan etiquette, residential pattern, etc.
