Abstract:
The concept of rural communitization was introduced with the aim of constructing a new era of rural social communities and achieving the goal of integrated urban-rural development. There is now in China nearly 20 years of experience in rural communitization practice and theoretical research, which has yielded abundant research results. However, there is an urgent need for systematic analysis and collation to facilitate the scientific and rigorous establishment and clarification of the concept of rural communitization, as well as to conduct targeted research and expansion. This paper conducts a visual analysis of the literature on rural communitization research from 2004 to 2024 in CNKI database using CiteSpace software. Through the analysis of publication volume, key literature, and authors, it is evident that the number of related research results has increased year by year. Key literature primarily focuses on three aspects: rural community governance, public services, and the construction of the physical spatial environment. However, there is a lack of team collaboration, and research directions are scattered, with no core author group yet formed. Through keyword clustering visualization analysis, it can be seen that the research hotspots in the field of rural communitization are concentrated in three clusters: policies and goals, content and approaches, and problems and needs. Based on this, a timeline map is used to visualize the analysis and summarize the research process, and to predict the development trends of rural communitization research.
