Abstract: Territorial spatial planning emphasizes the need to implement the goals and requirements of ecological civilization and improve the quality of the human environment. As an important part of the national spatial planning system, it is urgent to respond to the requirements of the times and seek ways to optimize the overall urban design, placing overall urban design control under the guidance of ecological pattern optimization and ecosystem protection. Based on the background of territorial spatial planning, this paper explores the technical framework and path of green eco-oriented master urban design, taking Kangzhuang Town in Yanqing District, Beijing as an example. It proposes a green eco-oriented master urban design method from four aspects: enhancing the carrying capacity of natural resources, optimizing the ecological safety pattern, creating a landscape town with a blend of city and green, and constructing an organic living body for the town. The aim is to make useful explorations of master urban design techniques and methods for townships under the background of territorial spatial planning reform.
