Abstract:
Pastoral villages are important parts of rural areas in China, which are closely related to the economic development of animal husbandry and the protection of regional ecological environment. However, rural development in pastoral areas lags behind and receives low attention, especially in human settlements construction. Taking the field works in Inner Mongolia and Qinghai Pastoral Areas as the research base, this paper shows the characteristics and practical difficulties of the construction of human settlement environment in pastoral areas in China from three aspects: herdsmen's settlement style (life), animal husbandry management mode (production), and grassland environment base (Ecology). It also analyzes its operation mechanism from four aspects: natural environment, nomadic culture, government policy making and herdsman's choice. Finally, the paper puts forward pastoral villages several promotion strategies of human settlement environment, including respecting the wishes of herders and steadily realizing modernization in stages, innovating mechanisms to gradually guide the transformation and development of the traditional animal husbandry, continuously increasing precision investment in infrastructure construction, and optimizing policy design to effectively protect the ecological environment.
