Abstract:
The construction and improvement of municipal public facilities constitute a crucial component in enhancing the rural living environment and implementing the strategy of rural revitalization. This paper systematically reviews the construction process of rural municipal public facilities in China, analyzes existing problems, drawing on international experiences, and integrates current practices. It concludes that, similar to urban development, the construction of rural municipal public facilities in China is also at a critical juncture of transitioning from ’quantity expansion’ to ’quality enhancement’. Therefore, it proposes that future construction efforts should focus on refining spatial allocation, diversifying operation and maintenance management, and promoting equitable construction and development.
