Abstract:
Taiwan in China is rich in architectural heritage types. Due to its early international influence on urban development and heritage conservation concepts, it has explored a relatively sound local protection system based on its unique geographical environment, social structure, legal system and urban development. This paper briefly reviews the development context and institutional model of heritage conservation in Taiwan, China, and explores its conservation paths such as management and operation, public participation, community building, volume transfer and URS innovation through a brief analysis of actual cases. It can provide a suitable conservation experience for mainland China, and strive to inject new perspectives and new methods into urban and rural heritage conservation under the new quality of productivity, so as to improve the protection system and management model.
