Abstract:
Against the backdrop of rural revitalization and the integrated development of red cultural tourism, this paper addresses the practical challenges of inadequate conservation and monotonous utilization of rural red relics by proposing the concept of 'holistic conservation and regeneration'. Taking the site of the Fangliang Joint County Government in Changcao Village, Fangshan District, Beijing, as a case study, this paper analyzes issues such as architectural deterioration, spatial fragmentation, and functional deficiencies. On this basis, it constructs a holistic design strategy integrating five dimensions: spatial planning, architectural restoration, functional supplementation, narrative exhibition, and community symbiosis. This strategy aims to transcend the narrow scope of relic repair by situating red relics within the broader context of rural development. Through systematic design interventions, it seeks to transform these sites from isolated heritage points into dynamic cultural nodes, thereby achieving a synergistic winwin situation in cultural inheritance, industrial revitalization, and community improvement.
